my attempts to draw a doily are morphing into some sort of molecular cells growing at exponential rates around a core of special magic...

the first owl....

one of my ten-year-old students asked me to draw an owl for her, but then she didn't come to class the next week, so i kept it. this week we are all drawing as many owls as we can!
